My last game was winning a state championship...once we got back in the locker room, it hit everyone, it was over. Most of us had small school offers, but knowing you’ll never share a room with guys you’ve known all your life or play another meaningful down, hits like a ton of bricks. That brotherhood is never duplicated and those emotions at 17-18 are raw. I was fortunate to walk off the field winning it all, and cheers, tears, and beers were shared the same night. I can’t imagine walking off the field the last time with a head held down.

But fans shouldn’t be that invested...
But for fans....
