re: Do you root for a “minor league” team outside the major confs?

Grew up an Alabama fan. Both my sisters and some cousins went there. I was going to go there too but a scholarship at Troy wasn’t something I was going to turn down. At the time I thought I’d go for two years then transfer to Alabama. But fell in love with it and liked that it was closer to home and my parents condo in Destin. Stayed for my masters too. Had season tickets for football there for a few years until my daughter was around 2. My brother in law went there too. I’m still an Alabama fan but much prefer watching Troy games.
