Stopped right there. Either answer the question or get to steppin'.
Saban's blitz packages means that Bama plays a lot of man coverage. A perfect pass beats man coverage almost every time. It is a gamble. Saban is betting that your qb can't make enough perfect throws to beat his db's. So every time Bama runs across a good qb, people come away saying the secondary is suspect. Then they are surprised when Bama db's get drafted every year. The fact is if you play a lot of man coverage, your guy will get beat by a perfect pass more often than not. Sometimes you will run across a qb and wr combo that is a mismatch for the db trying to cover him. Now in these cases you need the offense to step up and score with the opponent. Usually happens but not always. Hence Saban only has one undefeated season because it usually happens once per year.

I'll never understand why other coaches don't do this too. Saban knows that def secondary play is very hard to get perfect at the college level. So he doesn't have his CB's and Safeties play "perfect", just technically very sound.
