It's not about their ability to "operate a gun under duress"...its the fact that the gun is there in the 1st place. There is a reason gun shops never get robbed during business hours.

If the shite hit the fan, would you rather have a stapler to defend yourself or someone, anyone, with a gun?

And I wouldn't go hunting with any of by buddies who joined the army instead of going to college. But dam if we don't have a dam good army when we need it.

Maybe if teachers passed a marksmanship course of some sort, maybe a police maintained and supervised course I could support this but I’m also a little skeptical of just throwing guns to teachers. I think maybe a guard force of retired cops or retired military that’s passed extensive background checks would be a better option.
