Everyone had very few before then.
10 win seasons used to be very rare, the regular season was 9-10 games long, you had o go undefeated or have a single loss.
They added an 11th regular season in the early 70's and that's when they started becoming mroe common.
Then you had conference title games in 92, then a 12th regular sesaon game in like 04/05.
It's a hell of a lot easier to get 10 when you play 13-15 games vs 11.
