Florida is probably the most diverse campus in the SEC. If you look at the main campus' undergrad enrollment, 84.3% come from the state of Florida, however most of those come from the South and Central regions of the state which are not really "Southern" culturally.

Here is how Florida's undergrad enrollment breaks down by Florida metro area, Foreign, and US Regions:

26.4%- Miami-Ft. Lauderdale- W. Palm Beach Area
12.0%- Tampa
9.9%- Orlando
7.2%- Jacksonville
5.8%- FOREIGN
5.7%- Gainesville
5.0%- The Northeast USA
3.0%- The Southeast USA
2.9%- Sarasota Area
2.6%- Meblbourne Area
2.2%- Fort Myers Area
1.9%- Port St. Lucie Area
1.6%- Ocala
1.6%- Daytona
1.6%- Lakeland
1.4%- The Midwest USA

Most SEC schools are Southern by nature... culturally speaking. Florida is arguably the least "Southern" with Vandy and Missouri the only other schools that would be considered.

I would consider "Southern" as the SEC Footprint (minus Missouri) plus North Carolina and Oklahoma.... and for Florida, just the panhandle and Jacksonville.

So if you combine the students from the above states + metro Pensacola, Destin, Panama City, Tallahassee, Lake City, and Jacksonville, you come up with just 14.5% of the undergrad enrollment.
