Stop making sense.

As i said in a previous post. In the state of Louisiana, you need nothing more than a pulse and a clean record to openly carry a gun. That's it, that's all.

That worries me.

You need a license to drive a car. Some states require a license for you to helm a boat and I think all should. You need a license to fly a plane.

You should demonstrate an acceptable level of skill to own a firearm. Or at least carry one around all the time.

I don't think that is an attack on the Second Amendment... I think that is common sense.

And... if you wind up on a watch list because you've had psychotic outbreaks or you were a felon I think you should lose your right to have a firearm. I don't think this is trampling your rights, I think its basic common sense. We do not, as a rule, allow blind people to drive. We should not, as a rule, allow people unfit to handle a firearm to carry them.

Ban all guns? Hell no. Ban some people for very good reasons from having guns? Hell yes.

Everyone of these guys that says they open carry a gun "because they can", believes it is an attack on the second amendment.

You can actually be mentally retarded and open carry a gun in Louisiana, as well as being a minor. The right to open carry begins at 17 years of age. So both the mentally and emotionally retarded can open carry a loaded gun in this state.
