There you go again. You can not have it both ways. If you call Gus a 4 loss a year coach and do not point out 2013 and 2017 while playing in the West. You can't list Kirby's accomplishments 2 out of 3 years playing in the East.

Kirby is a three plus loses a year coach right now.

Well the fact that '16 was kirby's first ever year as a head coach explains away some of that. Gus has been at AU for years so it's a little more legitimate to call him a 4 loss a year coach.

We were talking about current program trajectories... Not sure what 2013 has relevance on the trajectory of Auburn today... Perhaps you can enlighten me.

And using losses to compare programs only really works when the two teams have played an equal number of games.

Over the past three years in the regular season:
Smart is 15-3 against the East... 83.3%
Smart is 3-3 against the West... 50%

Smart is 1-2 against West teams outside of the regular season.

Gus is 12-6 against the West... 66.6%
Gus is 3-3 against the East... 50%

Gus is 0-1 against East teams outside of the regular season.

Smart is 3-1 against Gus head to head in that time period...

As has been said, UGA was correct to fire Richt, is in a better place now than they were in 2015. No amount of crying about how things used to be is going to change that. Have fun this season.
