Also - kind of like with Les Miles, I think people forget how good Richt's teams were in the first half of his time at UGA because of the inconsistency of the teams he had over the second half of his time there.

Georgia folks - if you can remember back to post-2004, how do you feel this point in the UGA program compares to that point? Similar? Different? The biggest difference I see is Richt was recruiting well, but Kirby is recruiting at a different level.

See that is the thing. Richt was coaching a lot of J Donnan's players and was successful. Then Richt kinda always shitted the bed in a big game or came up limp vs a inferior team(ill prepared). Richt also seemed to be more in it for the mentoring aspect rather than a coach trying to win. It is obvious that Richt hasnt shown even close to half the passion that Kirby has shown for this program.

Kirby has done these things with a lot of Richt's players and we are now finally starting to see all of Kirby's guys and what a massive force these guys will be. Our Oline has been transformed entirely from what Richt threw out there and that is a problem for everyone.

Our DEF is loaded with young talent and now is their time to make their name known to the fans. I think Kirby gets us over the hump within the next 3 years. His first 3 years are good, but his next 3 will be great, IMO.
