There was so much odd about Jackie Sherrill it's hard to know which story to cling to. He had a bull calf castrated in front of the team before playing Texas, because our players didn't know what a steer was. He accused Auburn of using under-inflated footballs in their passing game, and/or of putting helium in their balls for punting. He also had a fixation with clowns, and used to dress up as a clown to visit children's hospitals.

Then there was Ron Polk, who was a "confirmed bachelor" as we used to say, and reportedly would not change his underwear during a winning streak....
