I think during the years of Mathieu, Ware, and Simon they were called Doobie U, and someone got it confused.....

Mathieu was an all-pro. Jamal Adams was an all-pro. Tredavious White was on the all rookie team. Eric Reid has been to the pro bowl. I mean short of being the best at their position for multiple years, LSU DBs have done plenty in the NFL.
