Ramos ruled that any potential wrongdoing by LSU's Wade was irrelevant to the pending criminal case

But Ramos also held open the possibility of changing his mind during the trial

Sure, which means he's going to have to hear some compelling legal authority and/or additional evidence to change his mind. Very rarely are reserved issues like this later overturned. Kind of like appeals. Everyone has a right to appeal decisions made by the court. That doesn't mean there is a likelihood of success.
