Maybe he did so because the pitcher in question needs to end his start on a good note and gain confidence rather than leaving him in until he gives up a couple of homers. Maybe Snit knows his rotation is pretty thin right now and doesn't want his starters throwing any extra pitches..

I'd agree with you if he didn't do it all season long last year.
