Hm ok...sorry I was mistaken.

The amount of playing time Markakis is getting is pretty wild though. Fully expecting a big drop off in the 2nd half again this year.

yeah, it pisses me off.

in a post game interview during the past week, Snitker was asked about rotating some guys in to rest some guys while taking advantage of the versatility of our bench, and Snitker said something similar to "we aren't built that way. we are a traditional set lineup and that's what we plan on doing moving forward". it pissed me off, to be honest, and goes against what they said before the season that they would look to give guys more time off.

I was just giving you a hard time with my response, but your point remains in that guys are playing way too much. I think it's ok for Freddie to play everyday. But Markakis has got to sit more, especially now that Camargo is hitting again. Markakis has already started his slide much earlier than last year.

MLB Games played leaders:
Semien • OAK 81
Laureano • OAK 80
Swanson • ATL 80
Merrifield • KCR 80
Markakis • ATL 80
Soler • KCR 80
Albies • ATL 80
Harper • PHI 79
Alonso • NYM 79
Chapman • OAK 79
Betts • BOS 79
Ahmed • ARI 79
Escobar • ARI 79
Villar • BAL 79
Santana • SEA 79
Acuna • ATL 79
Freeman • ATL 79

I really dislike that Snit or the FO is not using the quality of the Braves' bench to cycle in off days for the position players. Between Camargo, Joyce, Culberson, and Riley learning the outfield, there is a lot of versatility there.
