IM wondering why dog medicine costs so much

My dog got an ear infection and the medicine was $140. I need to get her enrolled in Obamacare.

ASPCA wants $40 a month with a $250 deductible and doesn't cover pre-existing conditions which for dogs could be argued to be just about anything. Not a good deal IMO.

Nope. But once animal medical care providers and pharmacies start sucking that insurance tit and accepting lower payments for medical care and prescriptions, they'll make their money off the people that don't have the insurance, then use it as a tool to sell the insurance out of their office, thus getting a cut of the action.
Also, the medicine given to animals, much of the time, is the same drugs given to humans. So some of the same factors that affect human prescription drugs affect animal prediction drugs.

My Vets already have a great racket. It's all women and most are between 7-10 for this area. They can get me to buy anything they tell me the dog needs. I've only successfully shaken their spell once.

Take your pup to your vet once for the diagnosis, and pay the big bill.
If the problem returns, look up the generic and buy it on Ebay.

What kind of person buys a watercolor like that from vector cartoons? If I walked in to someone’s house and they had a cartoon like that framed on a wall I’d walk out. That person is too silly to deal with.

You are getting off cheap. I've been paying a lot more than that per month for almost a year now for one of my dogs.
