I may wrong, but I think NCAA Bylaws prohibit schools from contacting other teams' players unless they have officially entered the transfer portal. It's commonly referred to as tampering.

This is incorrect for a number of reasons in this case.

First of all, it's not against the rules to contact players if a team has received a postseason ban.

And secondly, and most importantly, it's not against the rules if the players initiate contact, which they did.

Lol...no.

You really think for one second someone thought...”Man, we can’t play in the postseason? Hey, I know! I’ll call up the worst team in the SEC that isn’t going to have a single player drafted this year!” Use your thinker bub

Players can be contacted. The problem is, like a teenage boy with a constant hardon, the Tenner staff just can’t take no for an answer.
