Narrative? that is a fact. I have laid out the case many times here. Running the ball isn't always bad, but it is almost always more inefficient and the wrong call. The times that it is the right call are when you have a number advantage created either by having a running QB or by using some type of action such as an option to force the defense into a favorable matchup.

Having a 3rd tackle as a TE out there doesn't accomplish this most of the time. Hell you'd be better off motioning a TE into the backfield as a FB similar to what the Ravens are doing as they have more flexibility to create a numbers advantage compared to a mauler TE lined up on the line.
