Alabama has won the Seth McLaughlin sweepstakes. The three-star offensive lineman from Buford, Ga. committed to the Crimson Tide following a visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend over schools like Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan and South Carolina.
"I chose Bama because I just think that's where I'm going to excel most at as a person and a player," McLaughlin told BamaOnLine. "Playing for Coach (Nick) Saban is probably one of the greatest things a college football player could ever do since he's probably going to go down as the best college football coach in history. That's a big deal.
"Then Coach (Scott) Cochran I feel like, out of the schools I came down to, was the best weight coach. He's going to make me an absolute beast if I put in the work. Then also I've already formed a few friendships with guys on the team so I knew I could come in and fit in with the culture and excel socially on the team, too."
