Losing a close game to a Saban Bama team is average in what world?
With their back up quarterback because their starter was at about 20% the first 3 quarters of the game.
I like your logic even if I disagree with you on some stuff re Florida, but don’t moral victory your way through losing that SECCG. Bama played their worst possible game (Georgia caused some of this, but Bama was dropping passes, they were missing tackles, they were fumbling- credit to UGA there though) and Georgia still couldn’t take advantage. All of that AND Tua was hobbled the entire game. Then the back up, that is known far and wide for not being a great passer, comes in and dominates with his arm.
Saban and Bama are great and there’s no shame in losing, but there’s nothing to take as a moral victory from that game. Georgia lost to a better team and it was only close because they played uncharacterstically bad around an extremely hobbled quarterback.
