Jones is a hard commit to A&M. Doesn't matter if Texas pushes or not - nobody wants to play the Kansas and Baylors of the world.

As for Evans, kid is going to play in the SEC, probably at LSU like most NS kids. He sure as crap isn't going to play in the state of Texas, no matter what his handler wants.

Every recruit is different.
Most want to play for a winner.
So if you sell the SEC....All you are doing is opening the door to other schools.
Jimbo's message has a shelf life. If he doesn't produce championships his SEC message will fall on death ears and those players sold the SEC will all end up elsewhere.

aggy should sell themselves....

Doesn't matter who you play. Just as long as you win.

The main reason why Jimbo's message hasn't translated very well to 2020 and 2021 instate recruits is that most recruits see Texas in front of aggy.
With Texas playing SEC schools at least once in the next 5 years recruits will be able to judge Texas vs aggy.

Even LSU people are saying Evans will probably play for Texas.
Like I have said numerous times...Texas laid the ground foundation for Zach Evans better than any school.
What Evans is looking for is at Texas.

Hot take right there. I forgot a 10-4 Texas team is back especially with the amount of turnover for their 2019 team. I can tell being a double digit underdog to LSU at home really gets the recruits going.
