All of this will be proven in the next few years.
Doesn't matter what anyone says because they will call it fraudulent or fake ratings.
Truthfully none of these rankings of Sophomores and Juniors should be taken seriously because people mature at a different rate.
If you are a man at 16 already you are going to look a lot better than someone who matures later.
You see the difference by their senior year.
A lot of former Top 100 Recruits drop and players who were former 3 star make jumps into the Top 100 or 50.

The early signing day is a new dynamic that changed college football. This year, most teams had 75% of their commitments based on film, evaluations, and rankings of high school juniors.
Mack Brown pioneered this at Texas, to his ultimate demise.
Surprise! Surprise! some kids make quantum leaps from their junior to senior years. Admittedly, Owens is a raw talent, but his measurables are elite for the NFL. For a college to make 300-400 offers and Owens not make the cut, Yeah for Texas, Boo for everyone else.
Given, maybe some didn't make offers because they he was 100% committed.
For the elite programs, they have the pedigree to wait on the late bloomers. for the others, well ...
