For the most part, any of these schools can get you what you need to be successful.

The odd thing to me is how many degree programs there are now that really don’t lead directly to a higher paying job. Gender studies, race studies, queer studies, etc. These “academic” programs are essentially brainwashing 101.

The “scholarship” in these areas is a joke.

It is strange to me for colleges to offer 100 or more different bachelor’s degrees. Is it really necessary to have that many different disciplines? Many schools have 10 different marketing degrees. Many offer multiple different management degrees. Do management techniques really differ so greatly in sports, recreation, business, public administration, etc?

The schools like it because if you change majors, there are different requirements not met by very similar classes. Many Kids are taking longer to graduate. I had a talk with a professor at AU and he said the faculty is working on plans to try to get the students to graduate before starting year 6. He said the students really enjoy all the amenities of college and many of the kids who are not getting degrees in 4 or 5 years have good academic records, but they don’t finish a degree.
