Hope it was was worth it. Sills the WR you threw to all year was crying after the loss. But it’s just a “meaningless bowl game”. He must have been faking.

Luckily for us one quitter won’t do us in although the score would probably be prettier.

The get off my lawn crowd out in full force. Like it or not you are on the wrong side of history. Can you imagine what would have been said here about Herschel leaving early? See how dumb that would look now?

Did he quit or not?

If you want to lie and say no by all means go ahead and live in your fantasy land.

WV lost because their QB quit. I doubt we will lose because of Baker quitting but it’s the principle of the matter. You start as a brotherhood and you end as one. You don’t quit on your team EVER.

And for those of you who say this game is meaningless, you may as well QUIT being fans.

I’m not a Baker fan, I’m a Georgia(team)fan. I’m not obligated to be loyal to any one player because at any moment that one player could decide to not do what’s in the best interest of the team. He was one of the best corners we’ve ever had and that will never change. But I don’t respect people who leave their brothers behind for their own self interests.

Question. Is it a fairly new phenomenon for players to sit out the bowl game if they are a projected high draft pick? I don't remember it happening 10 years ago but maybe I haven't been paying attention.

Do you remember anyone leaving for the pros after 3 years before Herschel?

How do you feel about him?

Yes. Christian McCaffrey was the first one I remember to announce he was doing it. Fournette followed a few days later.

Even Herschel regretted that decision. He tried to get out of it, but Trump had him by the balls. He’d already signed a contract.

Not to mention that this is an apples to oranges comparison.

So something that used to be uncommon and is now common is different from something that used to be uncommon and is now becoming common and in 5 years no one will blink an eye at?

Got it.

You guys need to find something else to take your frustrations out on.

Well I was a fetus when he left early for the pros so my memories are a bit hazy. Plus my question was specific to bowl games.

Murdering unborn babies used to be uncommon, but now it’s common. And nobody blinks an eye at it.

Am I supposed to throw a party or something?

My example involves uga players not completing 4 years of college football.

You jump to a political strawman.

So history doesn’t matter because you weren’t born?

Did Herschel play in a bowl his senior season?

Your example says when uncommon things become common, that this transformation makes the thing ok.

I’m saying, that’s horseshite. And psychotic.

I think there's a difference between forgoing a season and quitting before your team's last game of the year.

College football programs with rich historical traditions are increasingly becoming farm systems for big business.

If you don't care for tradition and just want to watch a gang of mercenaries pursue their own self-interests above the welfare of their team, just watch the NFL.

They absolutely are. One player skipped 1 game and others skipped 10 or more depending on era. Which is a bigger slight?
