There are two bottom line reasons I don't want the games played on campuses:
-I don't like giving a team home field advantage in a championship game unless it's a sport (or level of a sport) where a series is played. If it's a one game championship, no team should get an arbitrary coin flip home field advantage.
-Its an opportunity to put the game on the grandest stage possible. Seeing teams you've grown up watching actually play in a college/pro venue just adds to the championship atmosphere to me and I know for a fact from talking to former players who got to play in those games that getting to "play in the Dome/Benz" is something they remember for the rest of their lives.
I understand that it's farther from some schools than it is for others, but to me the positives far outweigh any negatives.

Exactly.
Big shout out to the Heard County Crew! Cool backstory with that coaching staff. Proud to know them.
