Well lets look at his stats. The numbers give a more accurate reading of a player's skill then the number of games a team he was on won.

Tebow completed 66% of his passes for more then 9000 yards in college. He threw for 88 TDs and had 16 picks. His QB rating was 170.8 which is pretty darn solid.

But that wasn't the totality of his offensive contributions. He also rushed for nearly 3000 yards and added another 57 TDs on the ground.

In 2007 he had 4181 yards of total offense and accounted for 55 TDs.

Based purely on the numbers if those stats make him the most overrated player in SEC history then may God smite Arkansas with such a player and curse us with him for a full 4 years.

Meh, Replace Tebow with Dak on that Florida team and you get the same result... National Championship and a heisman trophy but more touchdowns. Dak's game also translated to the NFL, and was also coached by the same guy. I'm okay with comparing NFL stats the first 3 years of the NFL if they played because QBs are still green. (barring anyone playing for the browns the last 20 years that is unfair.) All that being said tebow was great in college. Shouldn't have been a first round pick. Late second he is a good pickup.

Johnny Manziel is the most overrated NCAA and SEC player of all time.
