quote:
If people my age watch football, nobody watches college, it’s always NFL.
More people your age will become bigger fans once they go to college and they will go to games and get hooked. In my case I was a big fan at age 10 because I was bonding with my Dad who would take me to games. Anyway, as far as the future of the sport, it is the over 30 age group that advertisers love the most because they are the biggest consumers of products because people over 30 tend to make more money. The future of the sport is just fine and has been growing and making more and more money my whole life. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. A bigger threat to the sport is all of the rule changes which one day may very well make the sport unrecognizable and/or the intellectual aspects of the University who have always felt it is a distraction, might decide to get rid of it all together at many schools.
