re: Should this be Notre Dame's last chance?

people really need to clam their tits over this whole notre dame thing. For starters, no...whatever they do this postseason should have zero bearing whatsoever on future seasons. That's ridiculous to even think.

Second, it should (and to this point has been, so kudos) about most deserving/best resume instead of the super subjective "best team". Bama got in last year over OSU because they had less losses and a better resume. OSU went 4 years ago over another big 10 team becuase they had less losses and arguably a better resume. OU got in this year over OSU because they have a better resume.

I think ND would/will get whooped by the other 3 playoff teams and I think UGA would shellack them as well. But their resume has earned them a spot.

If someone came to you in the summer and said "hey, ND plays Michigan, Stanford, VT, FSU, and USC this year adn goes undefeated" you'd probably say oh yeah they're a shoo in for the playoffs. Granted, some of those teams were way down than expected but some (like syracuse) were better as well. If you're going to try to discredit ND's schedule why did we let clemson in? Their schedule is just as bad and ND has by far a better win than them.



all this boils down to is people being upset that notre dame is in the playoffs and is going to get obliterated, but I mean you can't leave them out based on the season they had.
