State loses it's starting QB, who isn't good but if the backup wasn't better than him this year that's concerning. State loses their entire defensive line, likely loses their best LB Lewis, and 3/4 starters in the secondary. I don't see how they wouldn't take a huge step back from what they've been the past 2 years.

We likely don’t lose any LBs. In the secondary, we lose Abrams, and I believe that’s it. On the DL, we lose Simmons and Sweat, which will certainly make our DL worse, but if you look at the players staying, we actually return a lot of DL experience. So yes, with the loss of Abrams, Simmons, and Sweat, we should expect a step back, but no, I don’t expect it (nor should anyone else) to be a huge step back.
