(Includes Redshirts)
36 - FR
27 - SO
37 - JR
15 - SR (also includes grad transfers)

Assuming we match last years percentage of returning juniors (I believe it was around 75%) we will return 27 from that class. That would give us 90 returning players...most of which have in game experience

And Franks will be starter once again. And if he plays like he did today, I’ll be fine with it.

We are loaded next year...the OL will need to be rehauled.

Franks should play BETTER next year...he went from 9 TDs and 8 picks to 23 TDs and 6 picks. His running today was about was about 16 % of our rush total and if you delete the sack, probably 17 %.

Heres what I see for the Gators in 2019: to compete with Bama and Clemson we must have a huge solid OL and ditto DL.

Think about this...Tua is a great QB and so is Trevor Lawrence, but what if they both had Fsu's OL instead? They would both have at least 3 or 4 losses. No matter how good your defense is...if your offense doesn't protect the ball and is a 3 and out machine...the defense will crumble.

We MUST field a dominant OL & DL to win hardware. The games are almost always won in the trenches...no one pays much attention to them...but that's the fact. Of course you need more than that...but without it? Hard to win rings.

I'm really hoping Emory proves himself good enough. Franks isn't good enough to beat the elite teams we need to take the next step. Hoping Emory proves to be the guy.

This has always been my qualm. He's kind of the Jim McElwain of Quarterbacks. (Lampooning myself a bit here).

Once a year he has a great game, but every time we play someone with a pulse on defense he doesn't seem to do so well and of course -- there's an occasional game we lose where we match up well, everything is there, but Franks can't seem to get it together.

Florida State is ranked #110th in passing defense. Missouri was ranked #109th. One game he has 300 yards, the other he got 84. We need someone who is more versatile and can add another element to the offense.

I like Jones, he has the vision, has to work on fumbles, but we've needed a strong run first quarterback for 10 years and Franks isn't going to be that guy.

The thing about Emory is I haven’t been that impressed with him. I don’t hate him but I doubt he’ll be ready by next season with less than enough playing time.

Mullen got away with this game and not playing/needing Emory. If Emory replaces hFranksk next year, I see it playing out how this season has. Short of anything championship wise.

I wonder how much playing time Emory sees in the bowl game.

I'm telling you right now: Mullen doesn't want Franks to be the guy next season. Even as little as we've seen of Jones -- if Jones is 5% worse of a passer than Franks, he will likely start.

Franks is not the off-field or on-field Mullen Model QB. If Trask hadn't broken his foot this fanbase might have had a riot with the occasional cuck who thinks his antics have been okay.

Off-field: Terribly immature habits. Mullen told him to stay off of Twitter from the very beginning and he's constantly there -- nearly getting into street fights with fans, Tweeting at Del Rio and of course hushing the crowd when Mullen told him that it was going to happen.

On-field: Needs everything going well to do well. Misses some strangely easy passes, occasionally makes an outstanding pass but for the most part isn't a true downfield threat outside of teams we dominate. Doesn't know how to zone-read for runs. <--- This is the big reason why I think Emory will take over.

There are dozens of times each game where if he keeps the ball, he's going a long way. But he's not reading the play because he's not built for this offense. So the coach has to call it for him, and that's really annoying. All of the 'option' plays are pre-snap for him, and that takes out a very strong part of a Mullen rushing offense.

However...

He could develop his downfield passing threat, but I think when Mullen has our Jonses, Franks' will start getting benched for even off-field behavior. He just got very fortunate that Trask was injured and Jones is so young.

Im so glad Straws is included in the QBs meeting room to find out all the details.

None of us know what will happen in 2019...no one.

Your QB predictions have been known to be wrong Straws. I don't care who the QB is and will support whoever is named.

But be prepared for Franks to be named starter most likely and if his improvement escalates like it did from 2017 to 2018...we will see a much improved QB. Franks started every game this year and we are 9-3, going to a great bowl, beat two powerful teams in LSU and Miss State, 23 TDs 6 picks and much better running. Im sure Mullen is really pissed at him
