That's because of the severe scholarship losses and their effect from 97-07. Bama was 3-8, 1-7 from 00-07, a great distortion of the overall record. It was a miracle Bama won 3 games during that period. The program was gutted. Still won an SEC title and had 3 10 win seasons.
