Oh Idk, maybe because it's illegal
They're investigating corruption charges. College athletics are highly corrupt, especially CBB and it's connections to the AAU

I posted without really thinking it through, still working on my first cup of coffee. Makes sense from a corruption angle. My knee jerk reaction was why would the FBI investigate allegations about college players getting paid when that sounds more like a NCAA issue.
