Future harm is the biggest issue.

As I said in the previous thread I tore my meniscus. They made me play the remainder of the season with that and it was very painful, heavily strapped. Every time I cut of my right foot. Most of it was tendentious.

While they made me do rehab and didn't allow me to have surgery after the season was over; it took over a year for me to feel near normal there. Flair ups of pain. All which could have been avoided if I had gotten the surgery amd rested.

It's not a severe injury. It can become a problem if not dealt with correctly.
