Didn't have to read past the first line, Bauta vs Fields? Seriously dude? Funny man you are.

The entire point of the post was comparing the fans calling for Fields to those that were clamoring for Bauta in 2015. It's as simple as that. The posters here that have a hard-on for Fields are the same ones that missed the point of the OP completely, which isn't surprising.

The situations are nearly identical (again... not comparing the abilities of Bauta to Fields). Neither Bauta or Fields had/have seen significant playing time or meaningful snaps. Georgia was/is in control of its own destiny. We have a week off heading into Jacksonville.

There has to be a reason the coaches didn't let Fields run an entire series (other than Kneehigh's brilliant conspiracy theory that Kirby made some sort of deal with the Fromm family). I would have loved to see Fields get at least a full drive to see if he's capable of running the offense. Apparently the coaches know that he isn't ready. Instead, we got Fields coming in to play wildcat, with one carry for a total of three yards.

It's not fair to Fields to have him come in for one play here and there, and I think it does more harm to both Fromm and Fields when it happens. Like the announcers said, the sack Fromm took taking us out of field goal range was probably due to trying to press after the Fields play. Chaney's doing a shite job at calling plays in general, and randomly subbing Fields in for an option run isn't helping.

So just like 2015, we still have a shot at winning the East and playing for the SEC Championship. I don't want to see Fields starting when obviously the coaches don't think he's capable of running the offense yet.

And it’s either a good reason or a bad reason.
