If there’s one that wouldn’t, it’s Bill Clark. Better recruiting isn’t a plus.. he’s recruiting fine at UAB from the looks of it. Who is to say he would want a bigger stage or more prestige? Sure most coaches want that, but there’s plenty who are just fine doing what they’re doing

What Clark does well, is coach. He does very well with the talent he can get. Imagine what he could do with the talent Auburn has, and can bring in! Name one successful coach that is happy not competing for championships. Trust me, winners want to win, and we all know UAB will never, ever, ever be in contention for a natty. If Clark was happy winning at a lower level, he never would have left Prattville HS to take the job as a DC at South Alabama. Trust me, he would probably get a speeding ticket driving to Auburn for the interview.
