To be fair, nobody has ever won anything there. Spurrier gave them their only SEC East title so I’d say he surpassed expectation.

I agree with your point, but using Carolina as the example isn’t the way to go

Yep, USCe threw big money at Spurrier with the hopes of getting a division title. He met expectations.

My point was, getting a big name established (past their prime) coach would probably set us back further than we are now. You'd have to pay them big $$ and hope they haven't lost their fire, all the while, paying off Gus' stupid arse contract. Go with a guy with ambition, a NEED to win, and a proven track record. That means an up-and-comer. Texas & Arkansas are going to be a force in a couple of years. Who did they hire again?
