Mullen & Co are putting on a damn clinic of offensive gameplanning.

-Vertical passing game against UT
-Screen game against Moo State
-Option against LSU

We always used to joke about "saving X" for a team down the road, but we are literally seeing things come out of nowhere to become offensive staples.

What are we saving for UGA and FSU?

We’ve FINALLY!! got our offensive mind at the helm. It’s what we thought Mac was supposed to be but never materialized. All the haters can criticize Mullen for his lazy recruiting, but let me tell you nothing catches the recruit’s eye like exciting games and winning.

Never bought the lazy recruiter deal. Hell, he was at Moo State. Not exactly the hottest place to be

A lot of you younger Gators don't remember Spurrier and his play calling...he would try many different plays and tricks.
If needed he could pull a trick or two out that would catch DCs flatfooted.

Mullen is from the same cloth. He is a mismatch for almost every coach. We have faced two of the better DLs in the SEC and have gone toe to toe with them. You cant worry about slow starts...the staff will adjust everytime.

It didn't faze one bit when LSU marched down the field on the first drive. I didn't realize that Trey Dean couldn't play in the first qt because of that damn targeting call early against MSU. Burrow kept throwing to # 12s side...a third string CB.

When Dean came in that stopped...the good news is that CJ Williamson got valuable snaps for depth since he is now the second string CB. The week before against MSU he and # 31 Shawn Davis got a lot of snaps in. I think Shawn got injured last week? Didn't see him yesterday.

Our safties are improving every game...Stewart and Taylor have had a lot of snaps to learn. Grantham is able to coach em up and get max effort. Vosean Joseph was quoted as saying the defense wasn't tired in the 4th qt and Kryee Campbell on the DL echoed that sentiment. You win tough games in the 4th qt. with tough players.

He isn't a lazy recruiter. He just isn't an elite recruiter. Which is okay. He will be fine. I expect an occasional really really strong class, then 8-15 type rankings. Reality is. If elite coaching, that is enough to win. Not every year. Not Bama level. But enough to build up a team every 2 or 3 years in serious title competition.

His recruiting last year with little time and an early signing period was very strong. He got important pieces for the future, and some already impacting us positively. The transfers add more spark to our offense. Dean is playing very well as a true freshman. We have a lot of talent we can build on.

This class currently isn't highly rated sure. But when you break it down. It meets a lot of immediate needs. The LB and OLine part of the class is outstanding. We really, really need to land a very good safety and DT for sure though. I still believe in Jones being the future once Mullen trust him to play.

Next year we could see Jones starting to come in on select plays and learn on the field. Practice cant sub for game field experience....hopefully his passing will improve with Mullen helping him and he can develop into a stud.

We keep doing what we’re doing on the field and recruiting will take care of itself.

Kids will want to play in an environment like the swamp was yesterday

He has made changes mid game every week. He has good game plans and is able to change things depending on the situation.

Classic Spurrier.
