Incorrect. Like with any coarse/crass language, it's all about context. Time to stop treating black people like we're too stupid to figure out when the word is being used as a pejorative or not. Time for black people to stop the double standard of allowing the word based on the speaker, regardless of context. The whole exercise is retarded.

Exactly. Intent matters.

I use it. I use it around black people. I do NOT use it around people I'm not extremely comfortable with, regardless of color.

This. I use it....sparingly. My main reason for not using it? Honestly I don't sound very "cool" when I say it I speak with a pretty bland, neutral, almost Midwestern accent, so even though I'm black I sound like a poser when I drop an N-bomb I NEVER use it around my parent. They don't care the race of the speaker at all--they shut that shite down regardless.

Because I'm a bastard-coated bastard with bastard filling, I've been trying for years to get my wife to say it during sex because it makes her uncomfortable

The last person to call me the N-word irl was an Asian kid on a basketball court. shite was hilarious
