This is a hard pill for most of you to swallow but here goes ...

If you are always in the top 10 teams of toughest SOS, you are very likely a shitty team. Think about it.

The only exception is if you're at least a top 5 team yourself.

You are very likely a shitty poster. Think about quitting.

Auburn is not a team like you describe and often has an extremely difficult schedule, if not top 10.

It's really not fair that huge SOS bump all Bama's opponents get. Bama can't play Bama.

But, we overcome

Oh, I disagree. Teams that bitch about having a tough schedule usually make a lot of excuses across the board.

You do realize that the sos for a particular team is based off of said teams competitors and not the team itself?

Let's stick to the subject. Leave the ad hominem attacks for your middle school friends. We're grown-ups here.

It may not be intended that way initially but after you give it some thoughts, you'll realize what I said is true in most cases.

Things Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Kirby Smart and Gus Malzahn have in common...they all have almost an identical winning percentage against top 10 teams the last 3 seasons.

So you’re saying South Carolina is a shitty team

If they're #1 in SOS, then yes, they're likely a non-championship contending team. Is that the case?

I can see your point, but what is this really about?

Just bringing up a topic that maybe some other might be discussing at the moment. People like me get the meta while others worry themselves in the fine and unfruitful minutia.

Show me where we make excuses based on SOS. Stating what the SOS standings are don't equate to making excuses for losses.

I have nothing but admiration for your program, Carolina_Girl. And you are one of the better posters across this board. USC fans as a whole are the best on the Rant.

is this the "Alabama can't play themselves" argument or because you give teams losses, your SOS goes down? LSU, in 2011, going into the BCS title game, was the #1 team in the country AND had the #1 SOS. So, you're wrong

ETA: There was also a thread started by an Alabama fan this week about how Alabama has had a top 10 SOS every year in the regular season, so not sure what point you think you're making ITT
