I wasn't trolling when I said I thought AU would win a close game at home. I also thought Stidham would make more plays than Burrow, and that was my reasoning for picking AU. I thought both defenses would be hard on the other but the team with the better QB would win.

On this day, the team with the better QB won. People will point to Burrow's 44% completion ratio and say he wasn't good or played poorly, but I disagree. It's true, 44% isn't good and that number needs to come up, but Burrow made plays down the stretch and lead his team well. LSU was leaning hard on him toward the end of the game, both running and throwing, and he did what he needed to do to win. Burrow showed grit, iyam. Dude is tough and a footballer. Plus, he had ZERO picks, and Stidham had two. Burrow out played Stidham and that was the difference in the game; Not the refs. AU doesn't suck. Malzahn didn't blow the game. LSU won it. Pure and simple. Tip of the cap to Ed O and the Tigahs of LSU.
