Review or not to review

Has anyone ever seen this before? During UGA-USC game Carolina threw a pass that UGA almost intercepted but was ruled out of bounds. Carolina runs the next play and is a incompete pass. After incompletion referee stops play to review the interception play from before. We got Paged to review the possible interception. The review showed he was out of bounds. The last play they ran didn’t count and no w it’s back to second down. I thought once a play was ran you couldn’t go back to review ?

I didn't see the play, but I'm guessing you misunderstood what happened. Sounds like ref was paged before the next play was run and tried to stop the play right at the snap. No review allowed after another play is run.

They were pages before te next play, the refs on the Field didn’t attempt to stop the next play. It ended up being an “extra play” for SC

They said the page came before the next play. I though that unless the play is stopped before the snap then it was too late. They didn’t even blow the play dead after the snap. It was weird. Karma stepped in and made the center roll the snap back to the QB on the “free play” to even it out.
