How the hell does Texas need this game. They are the highest grossing athletic department in the NCAA. If anything they were throwing you pussies a bone.

They need it b/c their fans are pissed at what their home schedules have become. OU is always in Dallas and there are no more Nebraska, Colorado, Mizzou, A&M games in conference to cover over that.

Would you be happy if every year went something like this?

'17 - Maryland, San Jose St, KSU, Okie Lite, Kansas, Texas Tech

'18 - Tulsa, USC, TCU, Baylor, West Virginia, Iowa St

'19 - La Tech, LSU, Kansas, KSU, Okie Lite, Texas Tech

'20 - USF, UTEP, Baylor, Iowa St, TCU, West Virginia

'21 - Rice, Kansas, KSU, Okie Lite, Texas Tech

What's funny is one of the big reasons Texas is in this situation is the same reason A&M can't accept a deal with them at this time. The neutral site games in DFW make it extremely hard to set up homes and homes as you must have 6, preferably 7 home games a year to balance the books. The Big 12 went to a 9 game conference schedule which makes it even harder for the two schools to sync up.

It's doubtful the Texas AD didn't realize this and simply "suggested" A&M and Texas play knowing it wasn't going to happen so he could get some good pub.

Lol you’re talking like y’all are Bama or something. A&M is slightly above some of those teams.
