Early in preseason camp, though, the three continue to struggle with consistency and grasping the concept of managing the offense and going through their progressions to find the open receiver.

Anyone who knows football can see that it is a ploy to light a fire under their butts...plain and simple. He is motivating them.
The quote about Trask and the 6 yd completion is also designed to make Franks and Jones practice harder. Its a coaching strategy started many years ago.

Yeah, you know who really needs fires lit under their asses? A guy with a worse QB Rating than Treon Harris, Austin Appleby and Luke Del Rio.
I tell you hwat (Hank Hill).
If eating plates of shite in front of your fans, getting called out everywhere and not getting the job done isn't enough to motivate someone, one has to question if they will ever be motivated.
Mullen is telling the truth, and his 'checkdown' compliment to Trask is exactly what I've saying all year:
We don't need a guy with a cannon arm, we need someone who can simply distribute the ball. That's it. He's telling the truth, this isn't gamesmanship.

I hope you didn't watch SEC Now today Straws...Dari and Rodgers were discussing UF and Rodgers stated that Mullen was telling media how surprised he was at Franks ability to run the ball.
When Dari asked Rodgers who would be the starter? Franks.
And since Jordan Rodgers played QB in the SEC and you didn't Straws, I think his opinion means something. Hope we don't have to get you a straight jacket if Franks is named the starter. I will be fine whoever is chosen.

Man, so many terrible fallacies, so little time to defeat them all easily.
1st: Mullen commented on Trask's ability to run the ball first, but this doesn't really matter. It's obvious Trask is very athletic and built for Mullen's office. You chose to ignore this.
2nd: Doug Johnson, ex-Florida QB, actually associated with the program likes Trask. Since you're not a QB, and he is, well...
3rd: Look at which players support Trask, and which ones support Franks. WRs for Franks (although a few for Trask) but the OL clearly feels better about Trask. So too does honorary father of the last year's team Jordan Sherit.
The point is, Feleipe is a very safe bet because he has experience. However, any person who has thrown their support behind Feleipe can never say something that he does well, especially above average outside of arm strength.
So I'll give you a chance to say it: What QB Quality does Feleipe posses that's above average? Name one that's not arm strength.

I think Mullen is absolutely being genuine.
He’s stating what we’ve witnessed for the last 8 years.
It’s not a ploy, it’s brutal honesty. At least he’s identified that about the QBs and is being real about their capabilities.

I'm shocked... shocked I tell you.
It's sad that UF may not even have a QB on the roster as good as Chris Relf right now.

Well Straws, Franks was room mates with one of our transfer WRs.
I guess no one likes Franks. Its comical Straws...you twist anything around to your liking...its ok..25 days til bullets fly. Cant wait. Then this tit for tat will end and finally get to watch some football.

Franks is a likeable guy. I have met him before. Very nice kid. Still makes a ton of bonehead decisions.

Trask does have a cannon arm though. It was a 70 yard out route that got him his scholarship offer.

Trask has a great arm, the point I was making is that you need to have more than one trick to be an SEC QB.
You have to make good decisions, see the field, get the ball downfield and not turn it over. None of these apply to Franks.
