Alabama looking to make AP Poll history in two weeks

Since the AP Poll began releasing preseason polls in 1950, there has been only one occasion in which a single team was ranked #1 in three straight preseason polls. That was Oklahoma from 1985-1987.
If Alabama is ranked #1 in the preseason AP Poll that will be three consecutive years at #1 for them in the preseason. Just another milestone in this latest incarnation of Alabama dominance.

Not to mention extending Bamas record of being ranked #1 in the AP poll at some point during the season, every year since 2008.
