Now that's some glass half-full perspective.

Okay, folks, let's be honest. How much worse than other SEC stadiums are the in-stadium amenities for the average fan? South Carolina has trough urinals that splash your feet. Neyland's concessions and restrooms are the same or worse than ours. Every SEC stadium that I've been to has been essentially the same just as Vanderbilt Stadium, just bigger and that includes Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, and South Carolina. The difference in our stadium and others is size and the big, fancy "club" levels for big spenders.

With that said, there are some upgrades to be made. Maybe they do something about widening the concourses by taking out the sidewalk on the stadium side of 25th Ave and moving the fence to the road (or at least closer to it). The concession stands could probably use some equipment upgrades. None of those things are going to wow recruits and improve the team though. The things Vandy can reasonably due to impress recruits are about other facilities and have nothing to do with the stadium.

The real issue here is how the powers that be are always pushing football projects back. We were told work on the stadium was in the works then the MLS idiocy came up. Thankfully that folly was squashed, but, now, it appears the stadium upgrades have been put on the back burner.

I'm not so certain that we have heard the last of the shared stadium idea, fwiw. But to put the stadium upgrades in perspective, I was still in the marching band the last time they did a major upgrade and I graduated a looooong time ago.
