Just curious, how did you come up with the rankings for a decade?
E.g., ND would get 18 pts for being number 8, 17 for 9, 21, and 13. That's a total of 69.
Minn 25, 21, 16, 0 = 62
Duke 15, 6, 23, 18 = 62
Pitt 18, 25, 18, 0 = 61 (they had Pitt at 66)
Bama 21, 21, 13, 0 = 55 (they had Bama at 57)
etc.
They may have just made a mistake. I see where the precise point total comes from on some teams (ND, Duke, Minn) but not on others (Pitt). I only checked a few. It may have something to do with "others receiving votes" for teams that were NR. Anyway I took their lists for each individual decade. I only added 2017 to the 10s. They were close enough for me and IMO, it's a waste to put too fine a point on it anyway. It's just relatively informed people guessing. Also, the 30s were just 4 of 10 years. Bama tore it up the fist 6 years.
Duke and Minn should be tied with the precise point total by my calculations, but Pitt gets an extra 5 points. I don't know from where.
