i called the gator ticket office, and asked about away games. they had georgia and fsu tickets still even though the deadline to purchase had passed. i asked if they would ever sell to the general public at the last possible second, and they said they'd send them back to fsu before they did that. that's just not good business strategy.

then, i call the fsu ticket office because their general public tickets are on sale. i ask about the florida game, and they tell me that game is the only game where you have to make a $70 donation to the school in order to purchase the tickets for the general public. wtf? i'm not donating money to your shitty school for a couple of tickets. these people are fricking nuts. florida and fsu.

UGA is the only place that i know how the process works so I don't have a clue how other places do it, but is this really surprising? I'm surprised they even have any to sell period, if you called the UGA ticket office and asked for a pair to the auburn game you'd be laughed at. Looking on stubhub right now the cheapest UF/FSU tickets are $111 including fees so I don't think it's THAT outlandish that fsu would ask for a donation to that game in particular.
