Here was the scenario the last time Clemson came to Kyle Field.

The 2004 Clemson Tigers had just come off of a 9 win season in which they won their last 4 games including a 26-10 win over then #3 Florida State. They won their season opener and then completely choked against Georgia Tech, blowing a 10 point lead in the final two minutes.

The 2003 Texas Aggies had just come off of their worst season since 1982, going 4-8 and giving up at least 30 points in their last 6 games, including losses by scores of 48-12, 38-10, 77-0, 45-22 and 46-15. They opened the season by getting crushed 41-21 by Utah in Salt Lake City, then righted the ship a little bit by shutting out Wyoming 31-0.

What happened was a dominating performance in which A&M held Clemson to fewer than 300 total yards of offense (58 rushing yards), intercepted quarterback Charlie Whitehurst 3 times and had over 300 yards rushing in a 27-6 victory.

Hate to break it to you, but this team is a different animal than Bowden's teams. That DL is a rolling ball of butcher knives.

If y'all did make it happen it would be because Kelly Bryant just crumbles under pressure. I see a conservative gameplan from Clemson coaches with heavy doses of read option for this game. That alone might keep the game close and low scoring in the first half.

PS what happened the following year when y'all played Clemson?
