I don't think anyone had a problem with the finger pointing. I think everyone thought it was amusing. The only thing that became slightly annoying was ESPN made half of game 3 about him.

Yes, and he seemed to soak it up which made him come across as an attention whore but in the scheme of things in life it ain't no thing. And I definitely put the blame on ESPN for too much focus on him.
And that little girl (small woman?) who got her pic taken with him.
