"The word is getting out that True Auto Mart is the place to come buy a vehicle without the fees!"
Without fees, alright.
NCAA should appreciate that their work has been done for them.
Anybody sleuthed this business owner to see what his association with tater tech is?
ETA: owner's name is Tim Thompson. Couldn't find a fb page for him.

Even though Clemson fans are claiming that’s not the actual car he purchased, a commercial business using a student athlete for promotional purposes (unless otherwise approved by the university’s AD) is prohibited by the NCAA. The last sentence about “buying without the fees” is absolutely a promotion for the business.
Looking at that dealership’s Facebook page, they do post about pretty much anyone who buys a car there. However those people are not explicitly named student athletes and none of them are implied to have purchased the McLaren. They’re also saying that the McLaren is just the owner’s car, but it is also implied on a previous post that the car is for sale (how a dealership run out of a bumfrick trailer even has a McLaren is beyond me).
Having said that, I doubt anything will come of this because the NCAA is a joke, but I am obviously inclined to believe Higgins got a nice discount on whatever car he purchased due to being a Clemson player. I know that this kind of thing happens to plenty of plebe football players around the country, but the sheer boldness and shortsightedness of that post has to have Clemson’s compliance office in a frenzy.

There has gotta be fire somewhere ... because, over and over and over again we keep seeing smoke.
It's just a matter of time.
