That's wholly different than saying you hope all of our rivals have hybrid pro-bowl players at every position that will beat us most years.

This is the thing: I never said anything close to the above. I said I wasn't scared of our rivals having a good (or even amazing) QB which was an answer to a direct question of yours, and then you want to restate my words differently and hyperbolicly and criticize the result. That is a juvenile way to argue a thing.

I want Bama to win by being better than our rivals. I believe that if they have good or great players, we must and will find better ones. You indicated that you want to win by our rivals having players that are not very good. I think that's the goal of a pansy.

I also think this kind of stuff is laughable, like you need to tell everyone what you believe you did so that they hopefully notice. It's really pathetic. Just let your words stand on their own merit like a man.

And do you know what a 'red herring' is? No one is writing a mystery here with a false lead, not me or you. There are no 'red herrings' anywhere on this website. I guess that was just a really poor word choice by you, right?

But I really don't care to continue this discussion. Based on this conversation, I don't respect you in the slightest way, and disagree with not only many of your viewpoints, but also your manner of expressing your viewpoints. I do not think you have the ability or willingness to understand the words people type or points people make. I think you want to put words into a persons mouth rather than attempt to understand them. I believe you to be in pursuit of a misunderstanding and incapable of avoiding it. And based on the above, I think you are a joke.

I also believe you to have a similar negative opinion toward me, and I don't care in the slightest. It's just where we argued ourselves into.

However, this discussion has run it's course. If you want to reply to this post, insult me further, change my words one more time for old times' sake, or get the last word in, I will let you do that. It's fine with me. However, I will not reply.

If we meet again in another discussion, I will consider you and I to have a clean slate in order to hopefully have a nice discussion next time. If you choose not to do that, no worries. Take care, and Roll Tide.

Talk about restating someone's words in a different way so you can criticize their argument. Exhibit A, your honor. Wanting the best players to play for Bama instead of our rivals doesn't mean I fear competition or am a "pansy" (did you major in middle school put-downs? "Pansy"? Lulz)

And do you know what a 'red herring' is?

Absolutely. You might want to brush up on your definitions. From dictionary.com: red-herring- something intended to divert attention from the real problem or matter at hand. You pulled a boxing analogy to try to paint my argument into something we both know was never my intent. I never said I wanted Bama to play (or box in your analogy) horrible competition. I simply argued that your position of a hybrid pro bowl player (your example, not mine) for our rivals isn't something I desire for them as it would result in more losses and fewer championships for Bama. That's a totally different argument than not wanting to play any good teams, or being afraid of competition. That whole analogy was a complete diversion from my point. And we both know that to be true. Thus, the red herring, most certainly fits the bill.

Likewise. I'm not a grudge-holder. Have a nice day!
